Description
Peugeot P4. A Mercedes G Wagon built under license by Peugeot. Factory fitted bullet proof diesel engine (naturally aspirated) and gearbox from the Peugeot range of cars.
This originally served with the French military. I then converted it to a fun 4x4 in civilian colours a few years ago, but have kept all the military grade original parts.
I have had the gear ratios upgraded so it can keep up with traffic on dual carriageways and motorways.
Always starts on the button, and can be converted to a cabriolet in under 2 minutes. Great fun off road with high and low ratio gears ( and diff lock).
Roof is good with no tears, doors good. Double rear seats, seat belts, heater and power assisted brakes (excellent)
Paint is fair and although no corrosion on the chassis there's a little bit on the wing.
The military maintained the jeep meticulously whilst in the army, and I have regularly serviced it myself ever since, with no issues.
New big powerful batteries, ( excellent potential for a winch!) and fairly new tyres. There's sound proofing and floor mats internally that helps keep the noise down.
