Converted to competition specification in 2011 to campaign the HealeySport Hillclimb and Sprint Championships.
Currently road registered and tax/ mot exempt (as historic vehicle), the car could also be used as a road car, although its range is a bit limited with its lightweight one gallon petrol tank! Original fuel tank, full size windscreen and standard drivers seat included in the sale.
On the technical side:
Front suspension is uprated dampers and 400lbs springs. Rear Peter May lowered springs with vertical shockers. Front discs with green stuff pads. Rear – Riley 1. 5 drums with competition shoes. Engine rebuild 2019. Big valve Brett Sims head. Line bored mains 4 bolt steel centre cap. Med offset roller rockers. Rob Walker Eng bladed crankshaft. -10″ balanced and nitrided Cooper S rods. Lightened and balanced SW23 camshaft. Pit Stop rolling road setup. Pistons are Omega forged ones, 6cc dis. Baffled sump pan. Ford Mexico clutch and Peter may thrust race on an ultra-light flywheel and titanium clutch fork.
In present ownership since 2019. During this time the car has been impressively reliable, needing only the replacement of the front dampers, an exhaust rubber mount and a carburettor return spring.
Competition best times: Shelsley Walsh 38 secs, Prescott 55 secs, Loton Park 65 secs, Harewood 71 secs, but capable of much quicker in the right hands.
