Description
1920 Dodge Brothers Tourer, runs and drives, original engine included
A complete and usable 1920 Dodge Brothers five-seat tourer, UK-registered on an age-related SV plate and exempt from road tax and MOT. The V5C records the model as 116.
Dodge Brothers' first design, built from 1914 with a welded all-steel body and 12-volt electrics when most rivals still used wood frames and magnetos. Tough, simple to maintain, and the type that saw more military service in the First World War than any other make.
Currently fitted with a Ford engine. Starts easily, runs and drives well. The car's original Dodge Brothers engine is included in the sale for refitting.
Fully retrimmed in black leather in recent years, receipts on file.
Maroon body over black wings, wooden artillery wheels, rear-mounted spare, running boards with period step plates, twin headlamps and motometer. Hood serviceable with rear window. Three-speed gearbox. Left-hand drive.
Honest notes: paintwork is not original but keeps within the time.
V5C present. Viewing welcome in County Durham.
