MGB V8 Roadster 1968 ‘ TimeWarp’ Incredibly purchased by its last owner in 1987 it was then garaged in 1990 until seeing daylight earlier this year!
Every effort made to stow it correctly knowing it was going to remain there for a very long time.
First registered September 1968 finished in deep bright red with contrasting black interior, it really does look amazing!
The V8 conversion completed in the 1980’s professionally not Costello but to a very high standard for that time.
The Engine is a Rover 3500cc gearbox also Rover 4 speed. Front brakes are drilled and vented with drum brakes on the rear.
The beauty of this being an earlier converted 1968 MGB Roadster it has the early dash also sits nice unlike the more frequently used later Rubber bumper models.
The body and undercarriage is solid and straight, certainly no evidence of any rot!
It has the correct V8 dash clocks.
This year the Beast has been woken, surprisingly and thanks to the care taken and the dry conditions it has cleaned up really well, now runs and drives.
New fuel tank, new fuel pump, new fuel lines, spark plugs, ht leads.
A full set of 15” alloys and new tyres fitted!
New full black luxury pile carpet set fitted and matching full boot carpet set in contrasting Claret red. New seat covers in black. Sebring Alloy door handles and window winders.
This will not take much to take it to the next level of V8’s the asking price reflects the following:
The paintwork although bright and matching does require some correction, damaged caused by an indoor cover placed over the car whilst in storage. Tiny blisters to the bonnet and boot lid.
The exhaust has a blow which in our opinion a full stainless steel exhaust would be the best option.
The brakes will need cleaning, servicing or best still replacing with new.
Simply needs a good shakedown and to be driven.
