Description
Jensen GT Shooting Brake
This rare Jensen GT is being offered due to a reduction in the owner's collection; of the 500 units originally built, only about 70 are known to exist and remain road-legal worldwide.
Connoisseurs appreciate the rarity of this vehicle, which is equipped with the 2. 0-liter Lotus 907 twin-cam engine and a Getrag 5-speed gearbox.
This GT is unrestored yet in impeccable condition; even the original wheels are in pristine shape! It had one owner from 1976 to 1979 and a second from 1979 to 2023. The vehicle was imported from the USA by a renowned Jensen restoration specialist with a global network; they performed a comprehensive service—including the water pump and timing belt—when I acquired the car. Its technical condition is excellent. Odometer reading: 41, 400 miles.
The original interior is well-maintained and in top condition. The wood trim shows no cracks or chipped lacquer, and the velour seats are excellent. The headliner (finished in cognac-colored wool cloth) has been professionally replaced. I removed the rear bench seat because I prefer the look of the shooting brake that way... though it can certainly be reinstalled upon purchase!
The original rear bench seat and the original steering wheel—a component unique to the GT model—are included.
