This is not a garage-built replica; it features a genuine, expertly crafted Type 23 chassis—a white tubular spaceframe with a stressed-member engine and suspension identical to the original. As the photos with the bodywork removed show, it has been finished with meticulous attention to detail.
It was originally registered in the UK with historic Lotus documentation, subsequently sold in Germany, and arrived in Italy in 2013.
I purchased the car about five years ago; it had previously participated in the Targa Florio revival event and had been displayed in the event's museum.
Since I acquired it, the entire mechanical system has been overhauled, and the car has been driven primarily on Alpine passes, with the exception of a single track outing.
An incredibly fun car with an exceptional chassis, fantastic sound, and total reliability thanks to its mechanical setup.
