Description
Selling my 1972 Suzuki Trailhopper MT50.
2- Stroke Minibike!
This is an extremely rare minibike in the UK and I believe it's one of the first minibike models Suzuki ever created, at an attempt to compete with the Honda Z50.
I bought this from the original owner in September 2025 who imported the bike back in the 1970's when he moved from the USA to England. It was never road registered and was in need of a lot of TLC, and I bought it as a non-runner.
Since my ownership, I've road registered it and given the bike a full strip down and mechanical rebuild to get it running again, and it now runs and rides great!
I've kept the original patina on the bike as I think it looks stunning.
New parts fitted:
Black & Silver Period Correct Number Plate
Fork seals, boots and bushings.
Headset bearings
Swingarm bushings
Wheel bearings & Brake Shoes
Rear Uprated Shocks (originals also included)
Grips and Footrest Rubbers
IRC Tractor Grip Tyres w/ Michelin Inner Tubes
Side Stand
Rear Light Lens
Seat Cover
Decals
Fuel Lines, Oil Lines & Spark Plug
Throttle Cable
Paperwork:
I have copies of the original import paperwork from the US, along with a V5C in my name which shows 0 previous owners.
Bike is Tax & MOT Exempt.
Any questions please feel free to contact me.
I bought this after feeling sorry it's neglected state. Im a hobbyist who loves old 2-strokes and monkey bikes. I love the fact this is a rare piece of history on two wheels and does not have any missing plastic or panels (even more of a hard find!)
