This a beautifully restored example of the legendary pre face-lift Mk 1 capri in the original light blue launch colour and is one of only 2 existing MK 1 capri's with its original factory blue interior. Rotisserie painted 8 years ago and still in fantastic condition.
Original crossflow engine was replaced 5 years ago with a Burton performance engine with twin 40 webber carbs tested at 137 bhp and pulls beautifully through all gears. Custom made pipe-dynamics exhaust manifold with custom stainless steel exhaust. Only 5, 000 miles driven since the engine replacement and not one mechanical issue in that time.
Lovely original 4 speed leggy gearbox which is a perfect platform for the re-built cross-flow Burton engine to show its quality through the gears and comfortably reaches 70 mph in third.
New wiring loom, new aluminium radiator, new door cards, re-chromed bumpers, copper pipework, rostyle wheels with original factory wheels available on new tyres if you want them.
Will come with a 12 month MOT and some spares The images and video pretty much say it all.
Two negatives.
Dash board has cracks in it but the UK capri club have the tooling for replacements that come win black but can be painted the exact same blue as the original... or you can repair.
Passenger seat has splits in the off-side shoulder, but this section can be repaired. All shown in the images.
You'll find it very difficult to find another as good as this.
