A very well-presented and increasingly desirable early Porsche 944 Lux, finished in the classic combination of Guards Red with Brown/ Tan interior.
I have owned the car since 2012 and, as a long-term Porsche enthusiast with several other Porsche models in my collection, it has always been maintained as an enthusiast's car rather than simply transport. Following around two years of use, the car was taken off the road for a sympathetic restoration and has remained dry stored throughout my ownership.
All structural and body corrosion was professionally cut out and repaired to a high standard before the car was repainted. More recently, I have spent the last year carefully recommissioning the vehicle after its extended period in storage. Wherever possible, parts have been sourced through the Official Porsche Centre network, supplemented by OEM-quality components where appropriate. As is often the case with enthusiast-owned classics, the level of time, care and expenditure invested far exceeds the car's market value.
The only reason for selling is that I recently acquired a 944 Turbo, which has become my focus. As a result, this much-loved Lux is now looking for its next enthusiastic custodian.

There are undoubtedly additional items that have been replaced during recommissioning that I may have forgotten to include.
Although MOT exempt, I felt a fresh MOT would provide reassurance for the next owner. The car passed with three advisories: a cracked windscreen, a front fog lamp bulb, and a suspected front crank seal oil leak. The windscreen has since been replaced, the bulb renewed, a genuine Porsche front crank seal was purchased and will be included with the sale.
This is not a concours car, but it is an honest, highly presentable and mechanically sorted classic Porsche that can be driven and enjoyed immediately. A large file of invoices is included, with many parts sourced directly from the local Official Porsche Centre among other specialised OEM suppliers.
Examples that have received this level of sympathetic restoration and recommissioning are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
Located in Dundee.
A reluctant sale, and one I will genuinely be sad to see leave the garage.
