1998 MG MGF with the desirable 1. 8 VVC engine in nightfire red. 62k miles and MOT until August 2027, oil + filter and spark plugs just done before MOT.
Purchased for my partner earlier this year as her first modern classic to go alongside my MGB, but it's just not getting enough use to warrant keeping it as she works from home and drives her panda more! That and the addition of a T25 camper means driveway space is required.
Purchased from a gentleman down in Chertsey in April who had owned the car for a number of years and carried out some light but tasteful modifications. I do not have a full list but some of the main additions/ specs are:

Polishes up very nicely in the red with age related marks but I was very impressed with the overall condition of this when we bought it. I can also safely say it has next to no rust on the sills and underside and has been looked after with an under sealed side. The bushes on the front suspension arms all look in really good shape. This is just generally a really tidy little car and great bang for buck compared to other 2 seater convertibles of the same era. You'd have to double your money to get an equivalent tier MX5.
I purchased a hard top for it shortly after getting the car as a bit of winterproofing. This comes with a cover and a hardtop stand for when off the car. The hardtop in black goes well with the black pillars but could do with a decent polish as it tends to fade a bit in the sun.
Unfortunately I have managed to break the zip head for the rear window, so we have just been taking the hardtop off when going out with the roof down. The softop can be used, but the rear window will be open which we experienced on a slightly cooler summer evening. I will try and find a replacement zip head and fit this. The rest of the zip is fine.
Did fail it's recent MOT due to the rear fog light switch not working which I replaced with a rover switch which is identical. Also failed on emissions originally but had been sat for a while and I drove 5 minutes to the test station without warming it up. Whilst sorting the fog lights I carried out an oil and filter change along with some fresh spark plugs which allowed it to pass after a decent run. Now has MOT until next August. I also put some decent Nankang AS-2+ tyres on the front which have probably only done a few hundred miles.
Mileage may go up slightly as don't like things to sit too much. I'll try and get some better pictures on a run out but it's currently blocked in. Priced around what we paid for it and at a price I believe it's realistically worth. Sensible test drives welcome and I highly recommend viewing. A great modern classic I will be sad to see go.
A well loved modern classic which is ready to drive away and doesn't want for much. Tastefully modified and a great drive.
