Description
My grandad bought it new in 1971 kept it in the garage and did oil changes every 3, 000 miles. He took very good care of her. He gave me the car in the early 90s. in 2000 I took it in for an alternator and a young over zealous mechanic adjusted the valves which turns out are not adjustable, they're hydrolic. I drove it and it backfired when I turned it off so I took it back to the mechanic and it ran like crap so I parked it. So, I found out about the valves while trying to sell it from someone that has a few of the same motor. It's a V8 Ford 400. Since it sat for 26 years the gas tank needs dropped and cleaned. I wentvant talked to the same shop owner from 2000 and he said he would help with the valves bu he couldn't drop the tank . The interior doors are excellent . The only bad appolstry is the front of the front seat. The dashboard has 2 straight cracks . The headliner is starting to come apart at the seams. it has all of the windows and trim pieces. There's some rust on the hood and roof but it's not bad. It's in good shape. It needs the right tires and will have to be hauled on a flat bed. The price is reduced for Urgent sale. The cops towed it and it's compounding fees daily. It has 171, 000 miles. it has been parked and not turned over and will need the fuel system cleaned up before trying to start her. I bought a new battery, cap and rotor and 1 gallon of oil. I'm not mechanically inclined and I have none to help me or a place to work on it. I would love to keep this car . I've had it my whole life. Where I live they won't let me keep it anymore and I had to park it on the street and the cops took it without tagging it or any warning.
