Description
Hello, I am reluctantly selling my Chevrolet Nova to finance a professional retraining. Here are the details: Chevrolet nova 1972 Imported from Oregon in 2013 (so very healthy because no salting of roads there) Engine 6 in line 250ci (4. 1L displacement) Gearbox TH200-4R (4 speed with lockup) 6 seats (front bench, black vinyl interior) Direciton assisted, braking without assistance, no air conditioning and manual windows gray card collection 6 seats in my name, technical inspection every 5 years (up to date).
Positive points:
-Just had a general overhaul by a recognised professional (€3, 000 bill in December 2024, including rear axle repair, repair of a leak and gearbox adjustments, full servicing, rear brakes, carburettor/ ignition adjustments and various minor jobs) -Takes to the road any distance, nothing to do to enjoy it straight away -Complete maintenance and restoration file since 2013 (available on request, with invoice justifying €22, 000 worth of work over the last 12 years) -Very sound base, no perforating corrosion under the car (front right floor replaced, Very clean interior, new carpet, dynamat all over the floor to reduce noise and vibration -Electronic ignition -Holley 3-barrel carburettor (1 primary and 2 secondary, special for this engine) -Dual exhaust manifold (Tom Langdon) -Intake manifold (Clifford) -Cylinder head cover, distri cover, black thermo-lacquered pushrod cover -4-speed auto gearbox with lockup (= lower engine speed, so less noisy at high speeds), new in 2022 -Recent stainless steel line (very nice noise) -Transmission shaft rebuilt and balanced -Limited-slip rear axle 3. 73 (rebuilt in December) -Tubular front wishbones -Recently rebuilt front suspension (silent-block and ball joints) -Firm front cushions (CPP brand) -Reinforced rear spring (CPP brand) -Steering box (CPP brand) -Original style Coker-tire sheet metal wheel but wider -Retrosound radio (retro look, Reasonable size for French roads, usable even in town (less than 5m long) Negative point :
-Paint not fresh, chipped varnish (but no perforating corrosion) -Rear bows on the sides in poor condition -Right rear wing in poor condition (Old bodywork repair that didn't hold up well over time). It's been like this since I bought it and it's not changing, but to do it right it would have to be replaced -A small tear on the driver's seat -Fuel gauge underestimated by 1/ 4 -This car is 53 years old, it's in very good original condition but it hasn't been restored I'm certainly forgetting a few things but everything is recorded in the maintenance file. I'm available to discuss this with you or to arrange a viewing, please contact me by phone. The MOT will be passed before the sale (the last one dates back to May 2020). Best regards
