Description
Produced in only 1, 327 examples, the Aston Martin DB6 remains one of the most elegant British Grand Tourers of its era. This example, chassis DB6/ 3046/ R, benefited from a full concours-level restoration, carried out with remarkable attention to detail and a respect for authenticity.
The Superleggera coachwork has been completely rebuilt: panels perfectly aligned, flawless chrome and a superb Silver Birch paint, a period colour. The interior has been entirely redone in blue leather, with a black leather dashboard, new carpets and a beige headlining — a refined and harmonious configuration.
The original engine, a 4. 0-litre inline-six (400/ 3081) fed by three SU carburettors, has been fully overhauled. The car is equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox as well as electric power steering, discreet improvements that enhance driving enjoyment while preserving the model's spirit.
Chassis, suspension, braking and electrical system have been rebuilt. No signs of corrosion, wear or leaks: the whole presents itself in exceptional condition, rarely seen on the market.
