Very fine example of an MGA 1500 from 1959 in original configuration.
It is equipped with its matching 1500 cc engine with SU twin carburettors, its 15-inch steel wheels with chromed hubcaps, a new and functional hood.
It is supplied with an additional set of 4 48-spoke wire wheels, an optional period feature (transformation kit included).
The paintwork, very carefully executed, was redone in 2020. The bodywork is in excellent condition, gleaming, as are the chromes which are all present.
Having it on a ramp allowed us to confirm a healthy chassis and sills, although a few minor superficial rust spots are to be noted.
The wooden floorboards are in perfect condition.
As for the engine, its original unit is maintained as it should be.
Recently, some work has been carried out:
- The crankshaft assembly has been revised
- The clutch release bearing is new
- The ignition distributor is new
- An electronic ignition has been installed
- The radiator is new as is the water pump
In 2021, the carburettors were overhauled.
The braking system, suspension, and tyre condition were checked at the voluntary technical inspection that we carried out.
In terms of interior, the whole cabin has been refurbished including the seat foams.
The dashboard is red, glossy and presented very well.
The instrumentation is functional.
The carpets as well as the boot lining have been replaced.
For 1960s roadster enthusiasts, here is an example that will delight you with its timeless lines.
An original configuration, a complete car with its hood and 4-wire wheels as extras, a solid shell; ready to drive.
