Renault Safrane V6 Injection – Automatic gearbox – 1995
I’m selling my 1995 Renault Safrane V6, fitted with the PRV V6 3. 0-litre electronically injected engine, with a timing chain, paired with the AD8 automatic gearbox.
I’ve owned this vehicle for a few months. It runs perfectly and I have absolutely nothing to fault mechanically or in terms of road manners. The only drawback is a relatively high fuel consumption, which is normal for an aspirated V6 of this era. If I didn’t have other projects on the go, I would keep it without hesitation.
To establish a solid maintenance baseline, I carried out the following work:
- Replaced the six Bosch spark plugs
- Replaced the fuel and oil filters
- Engine oil change with Mobil 1 5W40
- A wheel alignment was also performed by the previous owner. Invoices are available.
The MOT is completely clean, with no advisories.
The car is very well equipped and offers excellent driving comfort. The engine is smooth and powerful, and the automatic transmission works perfectly, without jerks.
Regarding the history, the vehicle originally belonged to an older person who did little mileage. It was then stored, then restarted by his grandson (second owner). It was then sold to an enthusiast who maintained it with care (third owner). Due to lack of space, that owner sold it to me. I am therefore the fourth owner, and the next will be the fifth.
The defects to report, for transparency:
- The indicator does not automatically reset when the steering wheel returns to centre (the replacement part is supplied, simply not yet fitted)
- Presence of a few scratches, two more noticeable (photos available)
- Front right indicator lens missing, no impact on operation
- Right rear door with the panel slightly dented (visible in photos)
Despite these cosmetic defects, the car remains very clean for its age, with no rust, a sound body and a well-kept interior.
It is a very pleasant car to drive, comfortable, reliable, and runs really well. Ideal for enthusiasts of long-distance cruisers, V6 engines, or for pleasure use.
