Description
Triumph TR4A IRS of 1967
This 1967 Triumph TR4A IRS roadster is an original example in very good condition, having belonged to the same owner for many years.
Red with black interior.
This sought-after model, equipped with independent rear suspension, is in running order but would benefit from a service and a few minor cosmetic touches. Triumph introduced the new IRS model (independent rear suspension) in 1965 to improve ride comfort.
The IRS, also known as the TR4A, was equipped with a new semi-trailing arm system with coil springs and lever dampers. The integration of this new system required a redesign of the chassis, which gave rise to a slightly wider and heavier car, with notable visual differences such as a new grille and a distinctive chrome stripe running along almost the full length of the car.
Today, the TR4A represents a car that is a pleasure to drive for any enthusiast of British sports cars.
