The plus
The arrival of the MG TD in 1950 marked a major evolution in the brand's T series. The addition of independent coil-sprung front suspension transformed handling and driving comfort. A new, more efficient gearbox and rack-and-pinion steering complemented these improvements. The result was an extremely successful car, which like its predecessors, sold very well on the export market and contributed greatly to MG's financial success.
This 1953 example is in very good condition and has benefited from numerous mechanical improvements. Work included replacement of the water pump, hoses and fuel pump. The cylinder head has been resurfaced, the valves honed and the clutch release bearing replaced. According to the vendor, it runs and drives perfectly - ready to be enjoyed to the full.
