Strong points
- Completely original, never repainted and retaining its 6V electrical system
- Slightly modified and lowered with a narrow front axle
- Professionally maintained by Slymotors
The Plus
You've probably heard the expression 'they're only original once', and it's true. Once a car has been repainted, restored or extensively modified, it can never be exactly returned to its original factory condition.
The only modification made to this 1963 Beetle is a lowering of the suspension, with a torsion bar adjustment at the rear and the installation of a narrow front axle - a common and unavoidable modification for fans of air-cooled Volkswagens.
In all other respects, as the photos show, this Beetle is incredibly authentic, including its original upholstery and paintwork, which is almost unheard of for a car of this age. The bodywork has a superb patina while remaining exceptionally straight and solid. A few localised repairs have been carried out under the car where strictly necessary.
Looking at the original dealer plates and stickers, we can assume that this Beetle was delivered new in Sweden. Now registered in France with a valid MOT, it is ready to be enjoyed by its future owner.
If you like original cars and customised Volkswagens, this vintage Beetle has everything you need.
