The Appeal
Like us, you’re probably here because of this lovely 1977 B’s Primrose Yellow paintwork. It is a proper head-turner, but not the only reason to spend some time with this well-loved car.
The paintwork is the result of an older restoration. The vendor acquired the car in early 2024 and has invested heavily using well regarded marque specialists. The work has included rectifying minor paint issues with a partial respray. The car was also entrusted to Classic MG Services for a post-purchase check over. That resulted in a range of minor alterations, including fitting a Tourist Trophy stainless steel exhaust and replacing the alternator. The work totalled over £2,000.
These later cars got more comfortable cabins, improved ride and better build quality. This very tidy example looks in fine order, which is confirmed by the current voluntary MOT.
The vendor says:
“The colour is a real head turner, Chartreuse (primrose yellow) together with the exhaust note. It's a lovely drive on a summer's day with the roof down. I have really enjoyed owning the car, but now it's time to move on to another project, which is the only reason for parting with the MGB, as I need the garage space.”
