I brought this rare 300zx Slicktop from the 300zx owners club after looking for some considerable time for a rust free zx. The car had only covered just under 10, 000 miles when i purchased it. Due to the age of the car most of the rubber needed replacing which was done. I set about doing all of the practical jobs and some cosmetic jobs that needed attention. I had the under-seal was redone, new JDM rear spoiler sourced from Nissan Japan and had this professionally installed and boot lid fully resprayed. The full car was detailed and also ceramic coated and any touchups needed tended to at the same time.
The mechanicals were looked at by Powerzed (300zx specialist), a new rear seal on the gearbox was installed and some minor jobs were carried out and my ZX was given a clean bill of health and fully tuned to manufacturers spec. No rust or issues were reported and the entire car has got zero rust or repair panels. So the car was sold to me as advertised, which is always a worry when buying a classic car as you probably know.
I have receipts for all work carried out, and there is also an extensive paper trail for this car on the 300zx owners club and I have all of the import documents, the Jevic certificate confirming the mileage and also receipts for all work carried out.
The reason for the sale is that i want a new project, i was going to use the ZX as a base to build a drift car, but as its too good an example of this classic I feel, as does the 300zx owners club that it would be a shame to mess with a completely original example of this much diminishing in numbers car. So I have not drifted or abused this car in any way. Most of the Z cars seem to be being used for drift cars so are all being heavily modified or crashed etc.
