One of the last Daimler V8 250`s made before production ceased in 1969 with the facelift modifications over the previous model.
This car was bought at auction in 2019 and used as an everyday car whilst the owner`s “modern” was off the road.
The car has had 5 former owners with the first owning the car from new for over 35 years until 2007.
A respray was undertaken in 2010. Highly desirable wire wheels are fitted which are in good condition.
Now in need of recommissioning and tlc this Daimler is available at under half the auction price paid. The engine starts on the button and runs smoothly as one would expect of the wonderful Edward Turner design.
The gearbox is in need of attention and the car does not change gear and needs coaxing to drive forward or backwards in gear. The interior and dashboard could do with detailing.
There are many invoices on file with a pictorial record of the respray ; the paintwork which is now looking a little tired.
A worthwhile project and with time and effort a rewarding one as these smooth, powerful cars are a joy to own.
