Land Rover Defender 90 300 Tdi Restoration Project 1998 3 Owners
Eligible for USA Export. HPI Clear.
3 Previous Owners including ourselves. The last owner brought the car in 2018 and started it as a project stripping down the back end and then never got round to carrying on with it. We then brought the vehicle but due to other projects we aren't going to get round to doing it. The engine runs great and sounds very well, see video attached. This will make a great project as the body work is nice and straight. Also inside the back has not been worked hard. Seats are in nice condition.
The bulkhead requires work to the vent panel area but the footwells, pillars are in good condition. The chassis will want a new rear crossmember, bulkhead outriggers and body stay outriggers. It will certainly go again, maintaining the USA eligible status. Complete with new style V5. The vehicle was first registered 5th February 1998. So towards the end of standard 300 Tdi production.
It will want all the brakes renewing, wiring going through, suspension and the clutch looking at. It does move under its own steam but the clutch needs looking at, possibly hydraulic. A worthwhile project and a very complete original vehicle. Was last on the road in 2020.
