The Austin Ten is a small car that was produced by Austin. It was launched on 19 April 1932 and was Austin's best-selling car in the 1930s and continued in production, with upgrades, until 1947.
This Austin 10/ 4 Sherborne was first registered in March 1936 in Portsmouth and more recently had found its way to Kent.
The Austin engine is very sweet, it runs like a sewing machine. There is no frost damage and sounds in good health with good oil pressure.
The drivetrain is in good order, all gears are direct and clutch unusually smooth for an Austin 10. The car handles well and has new tyres fitted.
There is no corrosion to the underside, and the body is in good shape. The Austin is very much an older restoration and although the paintwork has been finished to a high standard it has now mellowed and showing character.
The interior has been retrimmed and is genuinely lovely, it is still as good as the day it was completed.
