SO VERY "The Sweeney" in its appearance, the Mark 1 Granada was an instant hit. The coupe, however, was way, way rarer and here we have an excellent survivor of the variant from 1975.
The sleek looks still stand up today (well beauty is in the eye of the beholder so they say!) and this old Granny is a gem.
It is also a Ghia model and an automatic. Speedo reads 67, 000 miles and - judging by the near immaculate unspoilt interior - this could well be correct.
The 2-litre engine is as sweet as anything and the car is actually believed to be the only UK factory-built surviving 2. 0 example! A very, very pretty car that is a joy to drive. Even if you start to get on your own nerves by humming that Sweeney theme tune every mile of the way!
