Morris 1000 Convertible – Superb Example
The Morris 1000 debuted at the 1948 Earls Court motor show. It quickly became an iconic vehicle that was exported all over the world with 1. 3 million being manufactured before production ceased in 1972.
Milestones are delighted to offer this post production 1968 convertible – a local ‘1000’ that has come to market because the owner, an engineer, only covered 8, 000miles in the last 10 years and has now moved onto his next project, a pre-war MG.
This remarkably Minor was professionally converted over 20 years ago. We have carefully inspected the car and can confirm that she has all the correct strengthening plates that a production Morris 1000 convertible would have and all work was completed to an extremely high standard
The restored chassis/ body work is outstanding and the Trafalgar Blue/ Light Blue interior with white hood/ wheels/ pinstripe and early banjo steering wheel is an absolutely stunning combination.
The large history folder includes pictures of the restoration and indicates that mechanically the car has been cherished receiving regular servicing and components as required with an engine rebuild in 2010 that included an unleaded cylinder head.
With light, pin-sharp steering, lovely engine/ gearbox and characteristic 1000 exhaust note this stunning little car drives as good as she looks and will give years of pleasure to the lucky new owners.
