This is a beautiful example of the early RC24 version of arguably the best engineered motorcycle ever, built at a time when build quality was at its finest. The 1988/ 89 FJ/ K models are, in my opinion, the best. They do not have the silly wheel sizes of the 86/ 7 bikes and they are lighter and a little more powerful than subsequent models. I have owned them all in the past.
The bike has had just four previous owners and has clearly been garaged and cosseted for all of its 31 years and 35133 miles. There can be no doubting the authenticity of the mileage because I have 25 old MOT certificates going back to 1989. The current MOT expires on 14th October 2020. I also have the original, owners manual. I bought the bike to give me something to do during lockdown but, other than giving it a ‘strip wash’ nothing has needed to be done. Whilst I had all the plastic panels removed I photographed each one to show their condition accurately. There is no damage whatsoever anywhere on the bodywork apart from a small crack right on the bottom of the belly pan which is shown in one of the photos. That is obviously not visible once fitted unless you are laying on the ground. Believe me, plastics in this condition are extremely rare. If you are seriously interested I can send you a link to the album of pics which include several of the bike with the plastics removed so you can see everything that is usually hidden. Nothing to hide on this bike.
