“The Most Exclusive Motorcycle in the World” - the OG 250 was built at a time when a motorcycle was an artisan product, and Ariel was at the top. There was a real prestige to the company's products that was impossible to deny, and there's plenty here that we'd see in the decades of trial bikes that came after. While it was a sporty looker, it was remarkably simple and straightforward, easy to own, and easy to ride. 

This particular example from 1939 is especially noteworthy for its originality and for having lived a very uneventful life. With just three former registered keepers and having covered only 16,000 miles in its 85-year lifetime, this OG 250 represents an increasingly scarce opportunity to own a survivor from this period. Recently recommissioned after years of dry storage, this motorcycle retains a wonderful patina that speaks to its authenticity and preserved condition.
