The Appeal
In 1954, the Standard 10 was reintroduced in a very different format. Gone were the traditional, radiator-led lines, and in their place was a rather restrained, better-proportioned three-box motor that was dedicated to the economy market. It's oft-credited as being fundamentally important to the Brits getting back on the road following the war.
The current owner purchased this handsome 1955 example in 2021 after it had spent many years stored under cover, and it continues to be carefully preserved in a carcoon storage system. Plenty of work has been undertaken to keep the 948cc four-pot engine running as well as ever it has. With its original red upholstery and period features intact, there's a great opportunity to bring this car up to snuff for car shows and rallies.
