The Appeal
'T' was the entry-level version of Porsche's legendary 911 range from the late 1960s, offering the pure driving experience that made these first 911s famous.
This 1968 example stands out for its rare electric sunroof option and for its complete professional restoration. Having been exported to Canada in the 1980s before returning to France in 2024, this 911 T has been meticulously refurbished with particular attention to detail, as evidenced by the more than 900 hours of professional work and more than €30,000 invested in new parts.
As can be seen in the photos, this is indeed a SWB chassis with a 2.0L from 1968, with the corresponding registration document into which a 2.2L 125 hp 1970 engine/gearbox has just been completely rebuilt (bore honing, valve lash, chain and head gasket replacement, piston rings, connecting rods and bearings) which remains a flat-six as original. Everything is fitted as original and works perfectly.
Two coats of Ivory Light priming plus two coats of Ivory Light paint plus 3 coats of varnish (June 2025)
New floor and under-body panels treated with epoxy primer
Thin layer of polymer sprayed for stone chip protection
Two coats of Ivory Light paint on the underside
Interior fully renovated
Seat structure refurbished and re-trimmed
Old trim replaced with new black leather

Original Fuchs wheels refurbished
New Michelin tyres
Fully renovated and functional electric sunroof system
The early 911s like this embody Porsche's iconic silhouette in its purest form. They are stunning cars, and this white example is particularly pleasing to look at, thanks to the quality of its recent restoration. The Fuchs wheels are the must-have choice for this model, while the discreet black interior suits these conservative and unpretentious sports cars perfectly.
Engine removed during restoration and brought back to level
Exhaust valves adjusted
Engine and gearbox oil changed with filter
New Bluetooth 123 Ignition electronic ignition system
New high-performance coil
Completely rebuilt carburettor
New brake discs
New shock absorbers
Complete stainless steel exhaust system
New oil reservoir and oil pump
Mechanically, this 911 remains broadly period-correct, though not exactly as it left the factory. The engine has been replaced with an identical unit, while the gearbox was changed from the rare but less popular Sportomatic semi-automatic to a four-speed manual focused on driving. A Bluetooth electronic ignition system 123 Ignition has been added for smoother, more reliable operation, and a stainless-steel exhaust system has been fitted. The seller states that the Porsche starts and accelerates normally, brakes well, shifts properly and offers excellent handling. A car that is absolutely a joy to drive.
