The Appeal
The Camaro was always the full-fat muscle car to the Mustang’s often more skimmed variety. And the SS was the fullest and fattest, particularly the big block 396CI 6.5L model.
The vendor tells us that this car is a genuine SS It is badged as a 396CI but there’s considerably more to it than that. The car was extensively ‘rotisserie’ restored in 2006 and 2007 and has subsequently been upgraded and improved with a huge list of changes. Notably, these include a modern LS engine and 4L60E transmission, Jaguar independent rear suspension and upgraded brakes and suspension. The interior features a quilted leather grey and black trim with Alcantara headlining, upgraded dashboard, carbon features and high-end Alpine sound system.
Recently professionally repainted in appropriately menacing Rolls Royce Masons black and sitting on Torq Thrust-style alloys, this is one potent Chevrolet brew. With someone else having done all the hard work and investment, here’s a chance to buy a blistering blend of classic and modern muscle car.
