The Appeal
The trick when buying a classic is to build on someone else’s investment. Here is just such a vehicle. This Land Rover Series 3 109 has been extensively restored, including repainting in the correct original Limestone.
The extensive work includes a new galvanised bulkhead and door frames and amongst over £10k of new parts. It has also been completely rewired. Beneath the bonnet, the 2.25-litre Land Rover petrol engine has been fully rebuilt. It is an indication of the seller’s approach that there is a current MOT valid to June 2026, despite this no longer being a legal requirement. There are no advisories.
All of this builds on the qualities of this 109in Series 3. Its extended wheelbase provides a vast load area, making it perfect for commercial use or you could reserve it for shows. Included in the sale is a rear half door and seatbelt mount, with all holes pre drilled so the vehicle is summer ready when you want to convert to an open top.
