The Appeal
The 1980s were a golden era for the Japanese sports car, with the Toyota Celica Supra becoming an instant icon of the road and racetrack. Introducing cutting-edge features like a digital dashboard, cruise control, air conditioning, and overdrive transmissions, these were hugely advanced cars, leagues ahead of the British and European performance cars of the period.
This 1986 automatic example has been part of a dedicated Toyota collection for a number of years, having been rescued as a 'barn find' and subsequently restored. The current owner has maintained it in dry storage since the restoration work was completed, preserving its condition while occasionally starting it to keep the mechanics in working order.
While bidders should expect some recommissioning and general tidying, this car represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a lesser-seen classic Toyota.
