The Appeal
The 993 needs little introduction: the last of the air-cooled 911s and, for many, the definitive expression of the breed. Powered by a 3.6-litre flat-six engine producing 272hp, the rear-wheel-drive Carrera 2 paired with the six-speed manual gearbox represents the purist's choice; lighter, more engaging and more rewarding than its four-wheel-drive sibling.
This 1994 example is believed to be factory standard and comes supported by a large amount of history from new. It reportedly benefited from a glass-out respray around three years ago, as well as the fitting of new seals and brakes, and an engine oil and filter change in 2026. The vendor reports that the car presents in very good order throughout and drives precisely as a 993 should. It comes to market with an MOT valid to April 2027 carrying no advisories, a reassuring endorsement of its overall health.
For those seeking an air-cooled 911 that has been conscientiously maintained and thoughtfully refreshed, this Carrera 2 is a fine example.
