Allure
Styled by Bertone and based on the mechanical foundation of the legendary Giulia sedan, the 1600 Sprint GT is one of Alfa Romeo’s most beautiful achievements of the 1960s. The early two-headlight “Step-nose” models are particularly prized by collectors, marrying design purity with the double overhead cam engine and the generous torque that made Alfa Romeo famous.
This French-origin example with matching numbers has been cherished over the last ten years. Its current owner has invested more than €20,000 in its preservation and improvement. This complete restoration work includes an engine overhaul completed in 2018 by the specialist R-Box. The block was machined, re-bored and fitted with new liners, pistons, intake and exhaust valves, and timing chains.
The braking system has also been completely overhauled, carburation renewed with two new carburetors, and the suspension overhauled. The bodywork was fully repainted in 2016 and received a complete anti-corrosion treatment. Since then, the car has been stored in a closed garage. The result is a Sprint GT in very good condition, sporting an elegant white finish, a gray fabric interior and burgundy trim. Accompanied by its detailed history file, its original user manual and its spare keys, this car is ready to hit the road and deliver exhilarating driving pleasure.Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 GT Sprint 1966-57.jpg2.75 MB
