The Appeal
The MGB GT remains one of the most elegant designs that Pininfarina ever penned, and has become one of the most celebrated sports cars of its era - a handsome, fixed-roof fastback of the legendary MGB Roadster that takes the best of British and adds a spot of Italian glitz where it counts.
This 1971 example stands out for its originality - but it's clearly been pampered, too. The vendor informs us that the bodywork is in very good overall condition, and reports the underside to be in fine order, too, with a wax-oil treatment covering its bases.
The current owner has invested sensibly in the mechanicals, with the cylinder head reconditioned with new valves and seals, alongside replacement of the radiator, water pump, and all rubber hoses. A Weber carburettor was fitted by the previous owner and has been properly tuned by the current keeper. Fresh chrome knock-off hubs and brand new tyres complete the package.
