The Appeal
Pity American sports car enthusiasts, because they never got the best version of Triumph’s TR6. Strict emissions laws meant that they had to make do with the strangulated 104bhp carburettor model rather than the potent 150bhp fuel-injected car we’ve got here.
This CP-prefix 1971 car has been in the same family since 2011 and has clocked up only 104,000 miles in its 54 years. An older restoration saw a switch to green paintwork, which remains in good order, as does the cabin. The dashboard was replaced in 2018.
Mechanically around £3,550 has been invested since 2021. That work includes servicing, new starter motor and attention to the brakes. In 2025 the pulley bolt and sump gasket were replaced, which is a complicated job. The body panels, including bonnet and doors, were adjusted at the same time. The car was serviced prior to sale.
This is a tidy and very usable TR6 that retains its original PI system in good working order.
