The Appeal

The TR6 is widely regarded as the last of the traditional British sports cars, pairing a torquey 2.5-litre straight-six with muscular Karmann-penned styling. The factory-fitted overdrive on this example makes it a particularly usable proposition.

This 1973 right-hand-drive example was dispatched new to Moores Limited in Brighton, as confirmed by the accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate. Now finished in red over a tidy black interior, it sits on 15-inch black and silver wheels with red centre caps. The vendor reports that the car starts, runs and drives well.

A history file accompanies the car, including invoices from Triumph specialist TRGB LTD documenting front suspension work, an uprated starter motor, and various mechanical repairs. As an MOT-exempt historic vehicle that is currently taxed, this TR6 is ready to use.
