The Porsche 930 needs little introduction. As the original 911 Turbo, it redefined what a road-going sports car could be when it hit the market in the mid-1970s, combining a turbocharged flat-six engine with that unmistakable wide-body silhouette and iconic whale tail spoiler. Nearly five decades on, the 930 remains one of the most revered and sought-after air-cooled Porsches ever made.
This 1979 example has been in the current owner's hands since November 2018 and comes accompanied by documentation detailing works carried out during both current and previous ownership. Mechanically, we're informed it requires no attention, starting immediately and driving as it should. Cosmetically, it's honest, and eminently drivable.
No doubt about it - this 911 is an ideal candidate for someone who wants to enjoy the car on the road. For those with greater ambitions, it would equally serve as a strong foundation for a full cosmetic restoration. Either way, it's a fine example through and through. image.png1016.33 KB

The 911's silhouette is the sort of silhouette that was perfect from the off. It's still utterly iconic, and has barely changed in the past fifty years. A curvy, bug-eyed, friendly sort of design belies the car's natural charisma and daunting performance. It remains utterly timeless, and this example is a fine ambassador to the much-prized lineage.
Everything is much as an enthusiast would expect - full of period character with age-commensurate wear. While there are a few signs here and there of its advancing years, it's eminently drivable - only gentle signs of use that are perfect as a base for a cosmetic restoration or ready and waiting to be driven. image.png924.33 KB
