The Appeal
The Honda CB900's robust inline-four and sturdy frame have long made it a favoured donor for custom builds, and this example demonstrates just how far the platform can be taken in skilled hands. Conceived as a long-term project by a Honda enthusiast with mechanical engineering expertise, the build was brought to completion by Nabspeed, a respected specialist in bespoke motorcycle work.
The result is an extensively re-engineered machine that draws on the best of Honda's parts bin and beyond. A Hornet front end sits on custom yokes, while a VFR rear end paired with a Hagon shock absorber handles duties at the back. Braking is courtesy of new Brembo components with fresh lines and HRC master cylinders, and fuelling comes via recently refurbished Mikuni racing carburettors. The electrics are entirely new, from the wiring loom and ignition system to the LED headlight and indicators.
Paintwork has been deliberately left in primer, offering the next owner the opportunity to finish the machine in a colour scheme of their choosing. Taxed and road legal, this is a custom CB900 that is ready to ride or show.
