The Appeal
The third-generation Chevrolet Camaro proved that the muscle car wasn't dead when it hit the market in 1981. It replenished the formula, combining striking styling with enhanced performance credentials. Named after the International Race of Champions series, the IROC-Z package is amongst the most desirable specs available - this offered meaningful performance upgrades, including a lowered suspension, special Delco-Bilstein shocks, larger sway bars, and the distinctive "wonder bar" frame brace.
Having been in the current ownership for a quarter of a century, this has been a deeply cherished car in a handsome colour scheme, very nicely specified and kept true-to-factory. It's not often we see one of these retro-classic muscle cars hit the market, and we've little doubt the IROC-Z package will prove highly desirable.
