The Appeal
In the mid-1980s, the Classic Range Rover got a facelift that made these later models amongst the most desirable. Most were built as five doors, but the original three-door bodyshell was still available, and this 1989 example is one of those very rare and now desirable models.
It spent its life in Spain with two keepers until 2024, when it was acquired by the current keeper. We’re told that it was resprayed in smart Cairngorm Brown metallic by the previous keeper. Since purchase, the vendor has invested over €5,000 via a Land Rover specialist, including suspension, gearbox, transfer box and other work. It has also been fully serviced.
Displaying low mileage for the year and with a well-preserved beige cloth interior, this is one very smart example of a rare Range Rover variant. It carries FIVA certification and is said to be tax-exempt. The Contrôle Technique certification is valid until June 2026.
The vendor says:
“The car is FIVA certified, so tax exempt. It looks like it is in the pictures and drives very well. Love the calm nature of it, the V8 sound and the fact that while being a classic, it's truly drivable with AC, power steering, electric windows and smooth ride. The owner’s manual, service book, original registration and various maintenance invoices are also included.”
