The Appeal
The R32 generation Nissan Skyline GTR is a landmark in Japanese performance car history. Its twin-turbocharged RB26DETT inline-six and ATTESA E-TS four-wheel-drive system proved devastatingly effective in Group A touring car racing during the early 1990s, earning the car its famous "Godzilla" nickname. Today, the R32 GTR sits firmly among the most coveted Japanese sports cars ever produced.
This particular example is far from ordinary. Bearing chassis number BNR32-000109, it is one of the very first R32 GTRs to leave the Nissan factory, making it a genuinely early piece of the model's production history. Adding to its remarkable provenance, the car was modified and tuned by Keiichi Tsuchiya, the celebrated Japanese racing driver known worldwide as the "Drift King." The mechanical specification reflects serious intent, with a reinforced N1 engine block, uprated turbochargers, performance camshafts, a standalone ECU, and a full titanium exhaust among the upgrades. The drivetrain has been similarly enhanced with a carbon multi-plate clutch and carbon limited-slip differential.
The vendor states the car is in good overall condition and describes the interior as presenting well. Some cosmetic blemishes are noted on the exterior, and the air conditioning system is believed to be inoperative. The vendor states the car starts, runs, and drives without fault, and describes it as properly tuned and suitable for both road and track use.
