The Appeal
Enthusiasts have their individual preferences from the air-cooled era’s long run, but most agree that the final year G-Series cars are something special. They got the stronger 5spd G50 box and improved hydraulic clutch with 3.2lt flat six and the option of the iconic ‘Sport’ pack with its Bilstein shocks, whale tale and distinctive 16in Fuchs.
This Grand Prix White 1989 cabriolet has all those things plus low mileage for the year. It is in extremely good condition and has been fastidiously maintained. The thick history file includes 23 stamps by main dealers and specialists like La Rose and Lindbrook Porsche. The car received a major service in 2024, including a compression test and attention to the brakes. The car will be sold with a fresh MOT - the previous test in April 2025 contained no advisories.
Excellent condition with its impressive history, compelling spec and recent maintenance, this late model G-Series car is highly usable and a proper enthusiast treat.
