The Appeal

The Peugeot 306 GTI is widely regarded as one of the greatest hot hatches of the 90s. This car, the ZX 2L 16V is Citroen’s version of the 306, a car that shares Peugeot’s chassis, dynamics and engine. It is considerably rarer, which means it is sometimes overlooked, but not by serious enthusiasts.

Few cars deliver the front wheel drive, analogue thrills of a good ZX 16V. This low mileage, factory-standard 1993 car is the earlier 152bhp version finished in ice white with a black fabric interior. It is in tidy and usable condition. There are a few cosmetic points to note, but nothing that doesn’t look easily remedied.

The vendor tells us that it has been well maintained and recently serviced. The cambelt was changed in 2020 around 1,000 km arog. There is also, we’re told, a current Spanish ITV certificate.
