The Appeal
The F355 is having a bit of a moment, and with good reason. As the earliest cars pass the thirty-year mark, enthusiasts and reviewers are lauding arguably one of the best and prettiest mid-engined Maranello cars.
While the 348 got better as Ferrari fettled it, the firm recognised the misstep and went the extra mile to make the F355 as good as possible. Agile, equipped with that magnificent F129 Dino ‘cinq valve’ V8 and exquisitely styled by Maurizio Corbi at Pininfarina, a good F355 is arguably all the Ferrari you need.
This 1996 Spyder is exactly that. Classically finished in Rosso Corsa over Crema with obligatory wing shields, it is a very low-mileage car that has been properly maintained by its handful of keepers. The service book and history file show regular attention from main dealers and specialists, as shown in the photos and detailed below. The work includes regular cambelt changes. In 2025 and 2026, the car received £12,500 of work by Kent High Performance Specialists, including cam belts, service, underside protection, a/c regas and a new Capristo exhaust back box.
In a popular colour combination and carefully maintained, this low-mileage F355 will make a great summer treat. An advisory-free MOT to June 2026 adds transparency for buyers.

The folding fabric roof has received recent work to the electrics and is in similarly well-kept condition. Inside the leather, trim and switchgear are well presented, and there is a period quality Kenwood stereo.
The Mechanics
- 3.5-litre (3,496cc) F129 ‘Dino’ V8 engine
- Six-speed manual gearbox
- Recent service and cambelt replacement in July 2025
- This work was part of £12,500 of repairs by specialist
- Recently fitted Capristo exhaust back box
- Original back box included as shown
- Brake discs as shown in photos
- Extensive service history by main dealers and specialists as above
- No advisories on MOT
The F355 is so revered because it has one foot in the past and one in the future, courtesy of that F129 ‘Dino’ V8, which can trace its roots back to Enzo’s 50s racers. For the F355, it got a serious reboot in the form of a reworked ‘cinq valvole’ cylinder head delivering five valves per cylinder. This change improved airflow to enable 380bhp and a screaming 8,500rpm red line, two key reasons why everyone, and we do mean everyone, rates the F355 so highly.
Fitting the F355’s lauded analogue theme, this car is fitted with the 6spd manual box. Aside from a recently fitted Capristo back box we understand it is factory standard.
Key to any Ferrari purchase is maintenance, which is where this car scores. Much of the 36,500 miles showing were amassed during the car’s first few years. The service book shows a run of stamps from main dealers and well-regarded specialists like Rardley, Autofficina, Goblin and latterly Kent High Performance Specialists. Three cambelt changes are recorded, most recently in July 2025 at 36,714 miles when the car was also serviced. Since that time £12,500 has been invested in the car, which is summarised above and detailed in photos.
The car naturally comes to market with a useful advisory-free MOT to June 2026.
