The Appeal
The 996.2 represents the refined second generation of Porsche's water-cooled 911, bringing updated styling, an improved interior and the characterful 3.6-litre flat-six engine. Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, it offers one of the most engaging driving experiences in its class, and the model's growing appreciation among enthusiasts is well-deserved.
This 2002 example has covered 55,429 miles in the hands of just two former registered keepers and has recently undergone a thorough recommission following a period of storage. The work is extensive, encompassing a new oil pressure sensor, steering rack pipes/union, steering angle sensor, auxiliary belt, track rods, oxygen sensor, brake bleed nipples, brake pipes, fluids, filters and plugs, all supported by receipts. Crucially for any 996 buyer, the engine oil has been tested for IMS and RMS contaminants and a borescope inspection has been carried out, both returning clear with evidence available.
The car has been freshly repainted in Porsche Oak Green, complementing the extended Porsche leather interior with Tequipment accessories, which has been professionally reconnolised. Reportedly offered with an external pre-sale inspection for added peace of mind, and with a private registration plate included in the sale, this is a compelling proposition for anyone seeking a well-sorted, carefully recommissioned 996.

Hello, old MOTs show repeated flagging up of corrosion (brake pipes), which I can see you seem to have addressed with one of the invoices; however, there were also (Major) issues with steering rack and front suspension arms. Have these been resolved and if so, is there paperwork for it? Also, there is an exhaust leak noted and the exhaust looks corroded, has anything been done to repair this and what condition is the exhaust system in?
Elsons_••••
SellerHi brake pipes have been changed. Steering rack has been replaced prior to me obtaining the vehicle with receipts. Suspension arms have been replaced by myself in house and the exhaust leak was due to a broken connecting sleeve clamp. Ive changed All clamps on the exhaust and all lamba sensors for good measure. The exhaust will look "corroded" due to it being used! Please remember this is a 25 year old car with origional manifold and cats. Only back boxes and pipes have been changed at somepoint.

Beautiful car, can I please check - do you know if the clutch, IMS & RMS are the original items? Appreciate the oil has been tested. Also have any of the coolant pipes been changed (primarily the over-engine ones).
Elsons_••••
SellerAfternoon, everything that has been done is in the listing, they may or may not have been changed but due to the previous owner passing away I have no proof hence getting the oil tested for specific particles to indicate ims/rms ware of which it has come back completely clear so its either been done previous or not required as per the oil test. Kind regards

Absolutely stunning colour combo. Is the koni suspension upgrade the active or sports one?

SellerThank you i thought so that why I chose it rather than the silver it came in...... makes the interior look so much better! It's the red active ones. Kind regards edd
