The Appeal
A coachbuilt Italian GT with the heart of a Ferrari? That’s Maserati’s Spyder, one of the prettiest and most capable two-seater convertibles of the last 25 years.
Finished in silver with a burgundy roof and interior, this is a really attractive example of the Guigiaro-penned Spyder. Beneath the bonnet is the Ferrari-built F136 4.2L engine mated to the clever F1 Cambiocorsa gearbox, also shared with its Maranello cousins.
The current keeper is the third, acquiring the car in 2006 and using it sparingly. The mileage shows less than 60,000 miles. The service book has regular stamps throughout the car’s life, most recently in January 2025, 250 miles ago. Two tyres were replaced at the same time. Just prior to sale the gearbox received specialist attention. The MOT runs to January 2026.
With its evocative badge and sonorous engine, this is a very stylish way to get from A to B, perhaps via C, D or any extra destination you can fit in.
