The Appeal
With the 996 attracting increasing enthusiast interest, certain models from the extensive range are already beginning to stand out. This Carrera Targa, with its later 3.6L engine and 6spd manual, is definitely one of them.
Finished in popular silver with a dark blue leather cabin, it is a really well-presented car with low documented mileage. The history file shows 17 service stamps by main dealers and blue chip specialists like Autostrasse, Statller, PCT Cars, Wimbledon Carriage Company and Charles Ivey. Highlights include over £5,000 of work by Charles Ivey in 2019, including new coil packs, and a recent service in July 2026 by Auto 2000. The current MOT runs to June 2027 with no advisories.
Well maintained, nicely specified and in great condition, this is a find for those who like to get out and enjoy their 911s.

"My 996 drives incredibly well and I am only selling due to inconsistent storage and not wanting to store it outside during the winter months. The IMS bearings have not been replaced, however advice taken from Porsche technician stated this is more of a common problem on earlier, lower mileage 996 cars, (although this is just one opinion). It would be up to the new custodian to replace or leave as is. There are no signs of any issues, she starts from cold perfectly every time, and everything works as it should! These are really underrated and lots of fun to drive."
