BMW's X5 was the first SUV that properly put sporting into the model's mix. As agile as the firm's other 'ultimate driving machines' it ensured that sitting higher and carrying more stuff didn't have to come at the cost of the driver's fun.
The original E53 was available with a huge range of engine options. The N62 4.4L engine provides the performance to match the chassis dynamics, particularly in later models like this 2005 car that got the more powerful N62 320bhp motor. It is a really tidy, factory standard example that has covered few miles in its 21 years with a handful of keepers. The Sterling Grey paintwork and black leather interior all present well. The spec includes panoramic roof, fine wood veneers and the original factory touch screen system with navigation.
The sense of a well-kept car is borne out by the lengthy MOT, which contains a single minor advisory. A very tidy and entertaining 'sleeper' SUV. image.png4.4 MB
