The Appeal
When Land Rover decided to join its competitors with a sport-themed SUV, it chose to dial up the chunky looks and lean into the classic Range Rover cues. The Sport was a huge success, giving buyers the luxury and gravitas of the full-size L322, but with a more agile, youthful approach.
Good examples of the first-generation L320 are gaining enthusiast interest, which is why we particularly like this 2010 HSE. Finished in desirable ‘black on black’, it also has the reliable and well-regarded 3L twin turbo Ford Lion V6 diesel engine. It is in very good condition for a 16-year-old SUV and is a testament to its trio of keepers.
We are told that it comes with a full service history dating back to 2011 and a long list of recent work. This includes attention to the air suspension, full B service, brake work and new tyres. The full list is provided below. The MOT runs to February 2027 with no advisories.
The vendor says:
“I bought this Range Rover Sport because it is one of those models that just gets everything right, a perfect balance of luxury, practicality, and reliability. Unlike some later models, the L320 TDV6 HSE is famously dependable and straightforward to maintain, making it a standout in the Range Rover lineup. It is now reaching the point where it is becoming a collectable, especially in this specification and condition. What makes it unique is the combination of a full-service history from new, low mileage for its age, and a carefully maintained example with all the original handbooks, keys, and paperwork. I have spent a lot getting it sorted exactly how I want it, with brand new tyres, thorough mechanical work, and general upkeep, so it is ready to be enjoyed without worry. It is a car that feels special from the moment you drive it. The classic black metallic paint, the factory 20 inch alloys, the air suspension, and the well kept black leather interior all combine to give a proper Range Rover experience. I bought it because it is reliable, comfortable, and just feels right, the kind of vehicle you can own, drive, and enjoy for years, and now it is truly sought after by enthusiasts.”

“I bought the vehicle when it had approximately 79,000 miles on the clock. Since owning it, I’ve spent a significant amount on maintenance, including fitting brand new tyres and carrying out mechanical work as detailed in the recent service. MOT records show no advisories, and I’m not aware of any outstanding mechanical issues. The car has been lightly used and stored carefully, keeping both the exterior and interior in good condition. Before me, it had three previous owners, with the immediate previous owner keeping it until around 79,000 miles. I know the full history of the vehicle from the paperwork I have. It was first registered on 1st March 2010 and comes with the V5C in my name, two keys, the factory handbooks and wallet, and a full service history file.
